MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Hundreds packed the Superior Dome in Marquette for day two of the TV6 Christmas Craft Show Saturday.
With more than 300 vendors, each offering their own unique artisanal touch, the Superior Dome is truly Christmas shoppers central this weekend.
Shoppers can find a host of one-of-a-kind items from paintings to metal-work, wood work, clothing, decorations, jewelry, maple syrup and more.
Buyers went home with armloads of Christmas gifts, many made right here in Upper Michigan.
Meanwhile, vendors like Michelle Ives of Bark River can earn a sustainable living while creating family heirlooms that may last generations.
Ives works with birch bark from fallen trees. She uses a wood burner to personalize them. She says it’s a great way to re-use materials found in nature.
“I just love seeing all the happy faces when I personalize them for people and just the unique messages they want on them and the possibilities are endless because I can pretty much put anything on an ornament. Every piece is absolutely unique and different and you can go from there,” Ives announced,”
The TV6 Christmas Craft show continues Sunday from 11 to 4.
