Filming has wrapped on Blumhouse, Red Wagon, Sony and director Zoe Lister-Jones‘ remake of The Craft, which will see Michelle Monaghan co-starring in an unknown role.
Chatting with Collider Ladies Night recently, the actress teased the upcoming film.
“It’s a terrific group of young actresses. It was a really female production. It was fantastic,” Monaghan told the outlet. “Zoe’s just really smart. It’s spooky but also really timely and relevant, you know in terms of what it’s about and how she reimagined it.”
The cast also includes Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, David Duchovny, Donald MacLean Jr., Nicholas Galitzine and Julian Grey.
“The original, led by Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Christine Taylor, and Rachel True, followed a newcomer at a Catholic prep high school who falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and wage curses against those who tick them off.”
The remake comes from Blumhouse and Columbia Pictures. Andrew Fleming, who co-wrote and directed the original film, is on board to executive produce the remake.
Jason Blum, Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher are producing.
