Mill Creek Assisted Living holds craft show to benefit Alzheimer's Association - UpperMichigansSource.com

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Mill Creek Assisted Living held their annual craft show to benefit the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The show featured handmade items from local crafters and Mill Creek residents, such as jewelry, hats, and home decor.

100 percent of proceeds from the craft show go towards Alzheimer’s research and care, which Mill Creek Activities Director, Beth O’Connor, says directly impacts the Mill Creek community.

"We see the effects of this disease every day. We've made it a point to raise money and we set a goal for ourselves every year and we try to meet it. We have a lot of fun raising money all year long,” O’Connor said.

O’Connor adds that the community support for the craft show has been very positive, and that she looks forward to more fundraisers throughout the year.
