Mojang Studiosは開発中の『マインクラフト』をテーマにしたアクションRPG『Minecraft Dungeons』を2020年5月26日に発売すると発表しました。
『Minecraft Dungeons』は、『マインクラフト』の世界とクラシックなダンジョンクローラーを組み合わせたアクションRPG。近接・遠距離での戦闘があり、自分自身で守りを固めてモブと戦い突破していきます。キャラクターをカスタマイズし、レアなアイテムを手に入れたり武器を強力にすることでスペシャルアタックを繰り出すなど様々な攻撃を仕掛けられるようです。
村人を守りながら戦い、王を倒すクエストも用意されているとのこと。マルチプレイヤー対応でオフラインまたはオンラインで最大4人のプレイヤーと協力してゲームを進めることが可能です。
同作は当初2020年4月に発売の予定でしたが、その後に延期が示唆されていました。
『Minecraft Dungeons』は、PC/PlayStation 4/Xbox One（Xbox Game Pass対応）/ニンテンドースイッチで2020年5月26日発売予定です。
